Document workflow administration

Legal document administration support for law firms

Document queues often contain repeatable work around formatting, naming, indexing and filing that does not require a legal decision. RemoteSkills can support those administrative steps under firm-approved templates and instructions while the firm retains drafting, legal review, filing decisions and client responsibility.

Create consistent administrative naming and filing across an agreed document queue.

Make version and review status visible without treating formatting as legal approval.

Keep substantive drafting and document decisions with the supervising firm.

Document administration is not legal drafting

An administrator can place firm-approved text into a template, apply styles and maintain naming or version rules. The role does not include deciding what the document should say, checking its legal effect or changing substantive language.

The firm remains responsible for legal review, approval, signature, service, submission or filing. A document should never move to an approved state solely because its administrative formatting is complete.

Use clear document states

A simple status model such as received, formatting, prepared for review, changes requested and firm approved can prevent confusion. Only the firm should control the approval state and decide whether the document is ready for any external use.

  • One authorised source for the document text.
  • Firm-owned template and naming convention.
  • Visible version and review status.
  • No substantive editing, legal review or filing by default.

Frequently asked questions

Can a RemoteSkills administrator draft legal documents?

No. The administrative scope can format firm-approved text, apply templates, name, index and file documents. Drafting and legal review remain with the firm.

Can the worker submit or file a document?

Not as part of the default administrative scope. The firm decides and controls signing, service, submission, filing and any associated deadline.

What does legal document administration cost?

Flexible administrative support starts from £6 per hour. One dedicated part-time worker starts from £895 per month for four hours per day, Monday to Friday. Final pricing depends on volume, templates, systems and supervision.

RemoteSkills provides administrative support only. The law firm retains legal judgement, client advice, supervision, billing decisions and responsibility for every regulated or substantive legal activity.
